“Do as much as I can until I’m asked to leave” — you bet, I like your approach. Thanks for discovering my blog and the “Scalenes!” post. Like you, I’m trying to use my health and wits to the fullest while I can (thus the Iceland project). A bonus: I’m chuffed to find another of your fans uses the word ‘chuffed’!

May 14, 2012 at 6:37 pm
Awesome. But, if I may ask, who are these six?
May 14, 2012 at 10:30 pm
My mother, father, both grandmothers, my only grandfather and my great grandmother.
May 15, 2012 at 5:10 am
Makes sense. 😉 I like what you wrote. I sometimes wish we didn’t have this very poor/ fragmented picture of our family history..and I mean our real family history going back …way back. Because if we are alive, we all have a great history.
Sometimes I want to take one of those gene tests..but I always wonder if they are too good to be true; I mean anyone can take a map and be like….oh yes u came from here and here..your ancestors lived here..that’s how they traveled…blah blah. How would u know if they were telling the truth? lol
May 14, 2012 at 7:55 pm
Very good writing. You have me hooked enough to follow.
May 14, 2012 at 8:14 pm
I very much like the way you write (and think/have an overview of “things” related to life.) Thank you for liking one of my posts and for “following” me. Perhaps, there would be more posts by me you may end up liking. In any case: continued success in your written work!

May 15, 2012 at 1:23 am
I really enjoyed this, and I have long thought how odd it is that I come from an unbroken prehistoric line, yet so few knew I existed before death, and one day I too will just be an ancestor in the family tree, perhaps even unknown.
May 15, 2012 at 12:48 pm
Thanks for passing by my blog. You have an interesting way of writing!
May 15, 2012 at 1:47 pm

September 21, 2012 at 7:53 am
(1) is ‘Tearmatt’ a pun of some kind on ‘Tiamat’ the Babylonian goddess of the sea and primordial chaos (see also Genesis 1:2)?
(2) the image of a slinky going down an up escalator is intriguing. I think it would eventually reach the bottom;
(3) your gravatar profile page does not have a link to your blog, which meant I had to guess that your blog was via WordPress and reconstruct the URL – this is easy to fix;
(4) salutations!
September 23, 2012 at 4:16 pm

Some of this is rather more political than I like to get–being, as I am, a writer of sonnets. I realize that some of what I write might be considered political, however, perhaps not so overtly, and… well… with me, one has to dig for it. Still, here I find a young man with some very interesting, and rather complicated thoughts; one who seems to be wrestling with a universality or two.
I’ve never been able to pursue the writing of a blog quite of this style, however now that I find I have decided to write about a subject about which I feel passionate, all that has changed.
Anyway, best of luck and keep writing–and thinking.

I am a merely a humble poet…
December 10, 2012 at 6:28 pm
Exactly my motto. But then “while I am here” was not enough and like you I pondered what more could there be? In the midst of my sleep my mind found the solution and chose another place to explore. Place was not enough and so next another time. Time was not enough and so next another dimension. Dimension was not enough and so next another probability. But what use is fascinating experience when in the end we die and it is as if we have never been? So like you I write and attempt to cheat death by sharing my soul’s journey’s with the immortal Earth and its many tiny memory cells, who like me replicate over and over forever……
Your thoughts are well written, appreciated and inspiring. thank you, Janr Ssor
